Applying skin and core issues: Who does this formulation really work for?

The biggest tragedy of the brightening type of product was not ineffectual, but white and black and red. When many OEM clients talk to me about formulation, they say, "Can we add up to 5% niacinamide and 2% VC?" -- my first reaction is usually: you tell me who your user is, how your skin is, and what the scene is.

This formulation, I've located three categories:

  • Light stability: VC Ethers are much more stable than the prototype VC, but it is still recommended to reduce oxidization failure with packaging materials or vacuum pump bottles.
  • Preservative system: polyols and active ingredient, complete preservation challenge test (PET).
  • Stimulation test: A sticker test is recommended, especially for niacinamide ≥5% formulation.

Three formulation with taboos:

  • High concentration VC + high concentration niacinamide: may generate niacin, resulting in redness. Both can be controlled at reasonable concentration without excessive panic.
  • Brightening active ingredient + high concentration alpha hydroxy acid / AHA: stripping + brightening at the same time, irritant supercharge. If you want to do the product "brightening + skin shrunk", it's recommended for stratification.
  • Niacinamide + strong acid environment (pH<4): niacinamide increased hydrolysis risk, and formulation pH must be contained in neutral mild acid zone.

Cost reference and OEM implementation parameters

Many thought that brightening formulation would be costly, but not so. The feed cost of this triangulation is reasonable and the user education costs are low - niacinamide, tranexamic acid, VC is already known as ingredient ' s "hard currency".

Brightening formulation, not ingredient, the longest table, concentration, but four things:
